At the start of the meeting, Pat introduced Donise as the new FCN Coordinator for the next six months. The group then came together to fine tune the letter prepared to invite David Gergen as keynote speaker. The success came exactly one-hour and 10 minutes later! The group reached consensus for the following changes and incorporations:

To tell him in the letter, why he was selected to speak
To use "Government & Media: Perception and Reality" as the universal theme for media seminars
To incorporate the three main bullets/points of last years’ letter
To place last years’ seminar logo on all seminar letterhead and faxes – and whenever possible, on cream-colored paper
To attach to the letter, the revised draft agenda, a FCN/Senior Fellows fact sheet, and a GovExec.com article describing last year’s conference
To use Cynthia Saboe as signature on letter as she is representative of both FCN and Senior Fellows
To remind Cynthia she’s the chair of Media Seminar 2000

Action Items:

Pat will locate the 3 main bullets/points

Marci will email David Gergen’s bio and related information to Dann

Donise will locate last year’s logo and place on letterhead and fax; ask Cindy Saboe to contact Pat McGinniss and get seminar date and time on the calendar. Donise will re-write draft agenda.
