Housekeeping
Hello, fellow editors. This is your first mailing after the organizational
meeting we held September 17. Enclosed please find an updated
database list of those who have joined the Federal Editors Network,
a summary of who and what we are, the minutes of the September
17 meeting, and a press list from the Vice President's Office.
We will soon be sending
out the first of our weekly Editor Alert bulletins by fax, which
will consist of all sorts of data you can use in your publications.
Remember, this is YOUR network -- if you want to see more/less
of something, have ideas for something different, or want to
let us know of an event you'd like us to cover, let us know!
For those of you who have
signed up for subgroups (a list is enclosed), please keep me
aware of any meetings you hold. I'd like to keep all the editors
informed of when subgroup meetings happen and what came out of
them.
I have brought the editors
database up to date, but of course there will constantly be changes.
Please keep me apprised of any changes to your work status. More
specifically, could the following people please give me phone
and fax numbers so I can be sure you receive the weekly Alerts:
Tony Hendrick (HHS), Tom
Kell (NAGC), Sandy Kamiser (HHS), Robin McMacken (NASA), and
Muridith Winder (DOD).

A last note: someone left a pair of glasses at the
organizational meeting on September 17 in the Truman Room of
the White House Conference Center. They are a plastic pair of
prescription glasses housed in a burgundy case with the letter
A. Please call me if these are yours!
